elkie & croc

One day, Elkie comes across a mysterious gift. To their surprise they find an unexpected friend. Elkie & Croc have so much fun together that Elkie doesn’t even notice Croc getting bigger and bigger. Or is it their love that’s growing? This is a sequence based on my own experience of a new person coming into a child’s life and how that love can grow in beautiful ways.

The Joker, The Jongobble and the Jingleroot Trees was my Folktale created for the Folktale Week 2022 Illustration challenege. The name of the ‘Jongobble’ was straight from the mouth of my little boy. The tale was sparked by him saying to me, “What if all hills were just monsters sleeping under the ground?”

Magic

This is ‘Magic’. He just appeared on my sketchbook page last week. He was never quite sure why he was given that name, until he discovered this pointy hat that shrinks him to the size of a bug. He has so much fun being tiny that it quite exhausts him, so he’s now taking a nap on my finger tip. ✨
